Summary/Abstract: Over the period until the reform of 1864, one could say that labor relations were profoundly dominated by obligations difficult to accomplish and regarding the rights which should have existed in the consideration of the above mentioned obligations, they were of such insignificance that barely deserved to be named as such. The Labor Code of 1950 repealed all previous regulations with regard to labor disputes. New regulation was adopted, specific to the new economic, social and political relations. The first part of it included legal provisions concerning collective labor disputes, but once the Decree no 266/1960 was issued, the domain of labor disputes was limited exclusively to the field of individual disputes.
