Summary/Abstract: In this paper, the authors focus on the use of the classification tree method in social research, which undoubtedly has its application in it. The method identifies respondents who belong to a certain group, serves to predict certain phenomena, reduces data, etc. In addition to introducing the method, the authors present a specific example of research aimed at identifying predictors of alcohol consumption by adolescents in terms of their relationship to parents and parental behavioral styles.
