Comparison of Attitudes of University Students towards Refugees

Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with attitudes of college students to refugees in the empirical level. The authors focused their attention on detecting differences in attitudes towards refugees by several factors – gender, field of study, attending university, religion and degree of willingness to accept refugees in Slovakia. The methodological tool was a original questionnaire which took the form of a semantic differential. The main conclusions of the research include the finding that among these factors, the rate of acceptance of refugees in the Slovak Republic is the factor that differs to the highest degree.
