THE CONTRIBUTION OF RAMADAN SOKOLI ON ALBANIAN ORGANOLOGY

Summary/Abstract: A genuine organological study among Albanians started quite late and that thanks to the first initiators in this field. Among the first ones who tracked the path of genuine organological studies amongAlbanians was undoubtedly Prof. Ramadan Sokoli. With him begin first studies of this field. He is among the first ones who approached with great zeal and incomparable seriousness the research and study of Albanian folk music instruments. Not only before, but also after Prof. R. Sokoli, nobody has explored more deeply and worthily Albanian folk instruments, both in Albania and Kosovo. Thus, rightfully we can say that without Prof. R. Sokoli it can’t be imagined the science of Albanian ethnoorganology.
