Summary/Abstract: This paper interprets the content of the magazines launched by Risto Ratkovic in the 20s of the 20th century. Considering that this period belongs to the avant-garde, it is clear that the magazines are of the same orientation and all poetic texts can be used for the purpose of poetic reconstruction of the avantgarde formation. The almanacs “The Eternity”, “The Art”, “The Glass of Water”, “The Reflection of Youth” and “The White Review”, nevertheless, contribute the most to clarify the surrealist movement representing the setting of the avantgarde, and through all of this we can follow the poetic development of Risto Ratkovic who launched the magazines and never unquestioningly accepted the postulates of the surrealist technique of automatic writing.
