Contraventional liability according to the Law no. 8/1996 on copyright and related rights

Summary/Abstract: The idea of this study started from the finding that, in the specialized works, the problem of the contraventional liability for acts that infringe the copyright, related and sui generis rights, regulated by Law no. 8/1996, is usually treated briefly, only at informational level.As a result, in the following, we will try a more detailed and at the same time critical analysis of the provisions of Law no. 8/1996 devoted to establishing the facts that constitute contraventions and the particularities regarding the finding and application of sanctions in their case, according to the provisions of Law no. 8/1996. Obviously, where we find it appropriate, we will base legal proposals on the appropriate law.
