Summary/Abstract: In order to catch teachers’ opinion regarding the main guidelines or directions of study (research) and action in modern teaching, indirect written inquiry by self - fill in of the questionnaire has been used. The sample of the subjects has been the teachers from the secondary school education. The main guidelines or directions of study (research) and action in modern teaching are the following: • prospecting; • revaluation and selection of education’ content, introducing in the curricula only the inherent values (knowledge, skills, abilities, competences, attitudes, behaviors etc.), absolutely necessary to cope with the accelerate pace of science and technology acquisition in order to prepare the young for the future; • increasing and improving the potent educational of the instruction; • ensuring a teacher-student relation; • orientation of lifelong learning; • ensuring a permanent feed– back; • converting the class system activity and lessons in groups and mirogropus activity; • capitalizing of the modern technical means, of the New Informational and Communication Technologies and elaborating the methodologies of using them for teaching purposes; • elaboration of a scientific research methodology.
