Summary/Abstract: The main objective of the study was to determine employees’ expectations related to their enterprises’ sustainable development and their perception of resultant benefits. A quantitative-qualitative study was held, based on a questionnaire filled by 142 employees, including management staff. Almost 80% of the respondents wanted the enterprises they work at to operate in a sustainable manner. The study showed that the related expectations increase with the respondents’ age and higher management positions. More than 40% of the respondents perceived benefits of introduction of pro-sustainable development changes at their enterprises and found those benefits significant. A similar group of respondents perceived no benefits. One in five perceived benefits, but found them very small, insignificant.
