Summary/Abstract: The idea and practice of temporary work indicate that it is the solution that companiesuse in various situations related to the changeability of employees’ needs. The key problem is how many and what kind of temporary employees can be employed for the benefit of or without detriment to the organization’s effectiveness. As a result of the research carried out earlier, the authors pointed to three important factors in the optimization of the employment structure: labor cost, labor productivity, and professional experience. The research presented in this paper uses the data of a production company whose activity has increased the volatility of the market and initiated a drop in demand for basic products through the introduction of newer technological products. Therefore, in order to make labor costs more flexible in the context of a changing demand for employees, cooperation was started with temporary work agencies. Analysis of the above-mentioned variables providedthe basis for answering the basic question related to the scope of temporary work: how to determine the optimal flexible structure of employment for employees?
