Summary/Abstract: Yacht ports provide various services for people, means of land transport, and above all for boats (mainly yachts). The article concerns yacht launching and slipping, which are services seasonally demanded in Polish marinas characterized by high massiveness. Due to the need to involve a large number of people, technical means and appropriate management of the entire process, ensuring problem-free launching and slipping with optimized costs can be considered a logistic challenge for yacht ports. The main goal of the paper was to present theoretical, technical and organizational aspects related to yacht launching and slipping. It is worth noting that this issue is very rarely undertaken in scientific studies, which means that the article can be regarded as innovative and filling the existing gap to a certain extent. The study uses a critical analysis of literature, documentation and observation.
