Summary/Abstract: The article presents the essence of officers careers in various aspects. It shows the characteristics of their careers and issues of design career plans. The article describes the results of tests for determining professional preferences officers. Results and conclusions can be used as an argument to make changes in the system of career management officers in the Polish Army.
