Summary/Abstract: Dental treatment in the last period develops in a very dynamic way. The offices are equipped with modern equipment, and the staff employed in the facilities have high qualifications. In the dental services market, there is also more competition among dental offices. The main goal of the study was to investigate the factors determining the choice of a dental office by patients.The study was conducted among 230 patients receiving medical care in one of the selected dental offices in Lodz. A questionnaire consisting of 26 questions was used to collect the empirical material. 75.2% of the respondents indicated the desire to care for oral health as the main reason for using the services of the dental office. Respondents most often indicated painas the most frustrating element during dental treatment, such response was given by 31% of respondents (151 people). The most frequently indicated factor by patients, deciding on the choice of a dental office, despite higher prices of services, was the recommendation of the facility by relatives and friends. As the main determinants of the choice of the dental office, the patients indicated primarily the professionalism and experience of the doctor and the widerange of services offered.
