Security Management in Urban Logistics Using a Tram Driving Simulator in MPK Łódź

Summary/Abstract: The safety of public transport in urban logistics is increased in many ways. In order to improve safety, Miejskie Przedsiębiorstwo Komunikacji in Łódź purchased tramway simulators that will be used for training. They are used in various fields, have many advantages, and depending on the needs are constructed at the level of different classes. On the basis of the research, two simulators purchased by MPK in Łódź were analyzed in terms of their operation and function. In addition, groups of tram drivers were identified, who should first training on simulators. In the last part, the intersections that have the most incidents by trams are identified.
