Intelligent Transport Systems of Provincial Cities in the Eastern Poland

Summary/Abstract: Innovation and intelligent transport systems should play a major role in the development of a modern city. Intelligent transport systems (ITS) are part of an intelligent transportation infrastructure and represent a group of technologies that can improve transportation system management. These automated technologies with a goal to improve surface transportation safety, efficiency, and convenience are more common nowadays in Poland. The main objective of this paper is to compare the scope of the implementation of the components of intelligent transport systems in five provincial cities in Eastern Poland.
