Summary/Abstract: In an article based on the conducted primary research the attitudes and opinions of the inhabitants of Szczecin are characterized in various aspects of the academic character of the city. This information may be useful for the academic community and the city authorities. Because potential of higher education used to stimulate development of the city is also a factor shaping the conditions and quality of life of its inhabitants.
