Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to analyze the extent to which US foreign and security policy has shifted under the presidency of Barack H. Obama. When elaborating on this issue, authors have analyzed National Security Strategy of the United States of America from 2010, which materializes President Obama’s foreign and security policy. The first part of the article focuses its attention to President Obama’s perception of the current strategic environment, which serves as a launching platform for setting the US strategic interests. In the second part, the article elaborates on President Obama’s security pillars on which he builds the strategy to face current security environment.
