The Picture of an Artist in Ramūnas Klimas Novel “Moscow Time”

Summary/Abstract: The article analyses the means of creating the character of an artist (writer) in Ramūnas Klimas novel Maskvos laikas (Moscow time). The novel is narrated in the name of the main character Vytautas Ringaila. Such choice of the narration strategy enables the author to solve two most important intertwined questions. The author creates a vivid character of intellectual, artistic, but at the same time conflicting, tormented by human weaknesses personality. Through the hero’s personal experiences and reflections of the soviet period (Moscow time) the author suggestively describes how the energy of disagreement and opposition accumulate in the personality (and society).
