Summary/Abstract: This article is a plea for the perusal of three books that likewise incite the reader towards more formative readings. 1. The anthology “The books that made us people”, Humanitas 2010 is a work composed out of the answers of nineteen personalities of the public area, as the title affirms, these answers expose the spiritual profile of each personality. 2. To Dan C. Mihăilescu also belongs “The castle, the library, the prison. Three customs of the exemplary women”, Humanitas 2014, the book begins from the idea that: “Within Romania (and a world) of derision, rudeness, and the desolate postmodern relativism, behold that we have someone to whom we could bow our head and give our respects full heartedly to those that could be (and should be) anytime our role models in life...” Dan C. Mihăilescu. 3. “The top of the iceberg” (journal from 1969–1974), Humanitas 2009, Constanța Buzea’s book impresses through its sensibility and subtlety through which the poet chooses to reveal her personal life (maternity, children) and her literary life within the atmosphere of 1980’s Romania.
