APPLICATION OF THE BALANCE SCORECARD IN MANAGEMENT OF UNIVERSITIES

Summary/Abstract: Being at the forefront of managerial concepts for almost 3 decades, Balanced Scorecard also has resources that show its flexibility and the power to assimilate or modernize its tools.The success obtained both in private and public sector organizations through the approach of a business or public service completed by the magnifying glass of the 4 perspectives, highlighted its multiple valences of analysis and performance control or management system and strategic planning.One of the areas insufficiently explored from the perspective of the advantages that can be created with BSC is represented by the field of education, especially the university one due to the complexity and impact it has in society. The approach of the educational offer of a university education institution through the prism of BSC contributes to the achievement of excellence in the development of its own bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral programs and their harmonization with the current needs of the society.Through this article, I propose to identify the principles or statements of the BSC concept with practical applicability in the management activity of a higher education institution.
