Providing information under the Information Act focusing on the Information Order

Summary/Abstract: The right to information is one of the pillars of good governance. The realization of the right to information has a number of specifics both in terms of applicants' ability to obtain information and in terms of obliged entities, especially municipalities and regions, which are obliged to provide information. The author focused on the amendment to the legislation by amending Act 106/1999 Coll., On Free Access to Information, as amended, proposed and discussed in 2018 and adopted in 2019.
