Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the results of one social anthropological study conducted in a distinctive community located between two major historical regions of Romania. The investigated population presents characteristics taken from the neighbouring populations. The purpose of the study is to highlight the specific features of the local community and its identity, respectively the image of the individual in the local collective mind. The methodology is mixed, both quantitative and qualitative. The results highlight the local community specificity and traditions, as well as how the locals perceive themselves, and the conclusions show us an overview with generally positive aspects that may constitute premises for the further development of the community.
