Summary/Abstract: This text presents the male song repertoire of the Slavonic community from the region of Golo Bordo, Albania. In the traditional culture of this community exists a clear gender division of the played songs – determined like male and female. Having in mind the musical contents, a clear line could be drawn between the female songs which is ritualistic (calendar or family rituality) and the male songs which have no ritualistic function, whose intonation pattern is urban-village and which pertain to later musical layers. The men from this region are mobile, the model their live – gurbets and labour migrations (the life in cities and foreign countries), is the reason in the past and also today for the „opening” of their song repertoire.
