Summary/Abstract: As an effective tool of thinking and autonomous learning, a mind map candevelop human potential and the students’ cognitive ability. A mind map is made up oflines, symbols, a little text, colour and graphical elements. One can use it to study, reviewand memorise information by applying this effective means of thinking. It enhances bothcreativity and helps acquire and master information in a new manner different from thetraditional note taking and learning method. The article will explore the availableliterature on mind mapping and the way in which students’ creativity in mind mapping canoptimize their autonomous learning and teaching as well as learning patterns, and aims toprovide references for teachers at all levels.
