Summary/Abstract: In the article we present the reasons for strengthening inclusive education in the conditions of Slovak schools, while perceiving inclusive education in a broader context, meaning, as an approach that applies to all students with various educational needs. In accordance with the support and development of the individual potential of each student, we clarify the inclusive approach in education and define it as the unconditional acceptance of the special needs of all children. By specifying the main features of cooperative learning, we emphasize this particular organizational form of teaching as one of the relevant means for creating an inclusive environment.
