Summary/Abstract: In the paper we discuss the importance of realizing the responsibility of the role of a parent, who for children from early age represents an identification model, a pattern of sorts. A pre-school aged child not only imitates this pattern, but also internalizes it, along with the values the family presents. In this study, we present a model of character formation and analyze the possible threats for today's families that are involved in the de-/formation of the family atmosphere and consequently contribute to the child moral development de-/formation.
