Summary/Abstract: Being a restorer of artistic components is a vocational profession, so it is not surprising that although this discipline is studied in university centres that are connected to art in major cities of the country and a number of students are registered annually, practicing restorers are still too few. In conclusion, many called but few chosen! To want to practice this profession means to be aware of the importance of preserving the national heritage. The noble feeling of contributing to the perpetuation of historical and artistic values initially exists in every student who steps over the threshold of these profile universities, at least according to the admission declaration. The difficult mission is entrusted to the training teachers of future art restorers. It is a multidisciplinary team of restorers, chemists, biologists, art historians, physicists willing to combine science with art in order to serve the science that ensures the preservation of the work of art over time. You will find teams of professionals ready to welcome you in Bucharest, Iași and Cluj, Timișoara, Sibiu within the Universities of Art whose contact is online, at everyone’s reach. Depending on the technical and pedagogical possibilities the specializations differ, for this reason we invite you to check the websites of the profile universities.
