Some remarks on the nature and role of arbitral institutions

Summary/Abstract: Despite the continuous outlining of the differences between institutionalized arbitration and the ad-hoc one, with an underlining of the advantages of the prestigious arbitral institutions in the administration or organization of the real difference between the two types of arbitration in regards of their role in the administration of arbitration is fading away. The article aims to explore the significance of the arbitral institutions, the meaning of such a concept in national and international context and especially the role of such institutions in the good functioning of arbitration either institutionalized or ad-hoc.
