Summary/Abstract: The acquisition, appropriation, possession and sale of works of art, the obligations and rights of actors involved in the trading of works of art, the transfer abroad of works of art and the tax issues related to these operations are some of the complex aspects of art law, as an interdisciplinary law, and which may give rise to disputes. The article aims at a brief presentation of art law and institutionalized arbitration specialized in disputes related to works of art, from the perspective of a practitioner in this arbitration field.
