Summary/Abstract: Given its status of independent system, the interlanguage must be analyzed in its own terms rather, the call to the system of the target language being admitted only in order to identify the transitional stages of the interlanguage which gradually approaches of the TL system. The analysis of the interlanguage conformity with the TL norm, reveals to us only one dimension of its development. In order not to ignore the interlanguage status of independent system, we propose in this paper, an analysis of its complexity and the relationship between conformity and complexity. In the complexity analysis, we will discuss the development of four indices: the lexical diversity, the syntactic diversity, the lexical sophistication and the syntactic sophistication.
