Summary/Abstract: The aim of the research is to compare and analyze the data from two empirical investigations with the whole sample of 414 students, conducted during the period May, 2005 – April, 2007 with Shalom Schwartz’s basic individual values questionnaire (Schwartz, 1992). The results show that the individual values and interests in unison with postmodern values of the global word retain their predominance over the collective motivational students’ goals, during the studied period. The freedom of thinking and action, not restrained fromexternally imposed borders (Self-enhancement value), as well as the drive for variability (Openness to change) and the acceptance of others as equals (Self – transcendence) has dominated over the values of Self-restrictions, maintenance of tradition and stability (Schwartz, 1992; Baychinska, 1994; Garvanova, 2008). Fulfillment, self-discipline and the honor towards parents and the older ones (conformity value) also decrease their significance for the studied youngsters, during the period 2005 – 2007 years.
