Summary/Abstract: Literary books have an important place in the lives of individuals from childhood. Specially literary books from childhood by affecting the spirit and imagination of children, they contribute to their psycho-social and cultural development. These works not only open new horizons for children, but also they convey some values and judgments of society and culture to them. Children's books, in which social and cultural events and phenomena are interpreted from an artistic perspective, are at the intersection of both literature and sociology. While building childhood on the other hand, the children's literature writer plays an significant role in conveying the cultural structure of the society and the perception of the world to her/his books. Feyza Hepcilingirler, as an contemporary author, draws attention with her books that she contributed to children's literature. The most characteristic feature of her books is that they are educational and instructive. For Hepcilingirler, it is a mission to teach children everything about social and cultural life in the most accurate way. One of these missions of the writer is her delicacy to gender. So that the part of the authors cannot be denied in children's books and books, which we can evaluate alongside family, school and friend groups in the life of the individual in the socialization of gender. The author of children's books is an figure who both conveys the stereotypes, judgments and clichés about gender and conveys social and cultural codes to the child. In this study, the books written by Feyza Hepcilingirler for children were discussed in the headings of preschool and school period and it was aimed to trace the gender perception in her books.
