Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper was to identify the scope of commodity science (understood as quality sciences) as well as its place and role in teaching programs. The research was conducted using direct (personal) interview, which is a typical technique for qualitative analysis. The empirical part of the study defines the scope and challenges of modern commodity science in the curricula of universities. The author's contribution is the implementation of pioneering qualitative research and systematization of obtained results.
