The role of parents in education in students’ and teachers’ opinion.

Summary/Abstract: In this article, we present research on the relationship between teachers and parents in the school conducted among students and teachers. The analysis covers the written answers of one hundred and twenty middle school and high school students on the role of parents in education and focus interviews conducted in ten groups of teachers in 2007–2018. Reflecting on the perspectives of pupils, parents and teachers finds its justification in the systemic approach to the educational community. The results of the study confirm the needs, rights and benefits of cooperation for all school community entities, both for fulfilling their role and for building cohesive and inclusive local communities, in which the school provides students the maximum of their development opportunities.
