Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to provoke a wider discussion concerning aim, tasks and functions of ethical codes as an important tool regulating relations between an enterprise and consumers. The most important reasons to initiate such a discussion is the often observed will of employees to adjust their attitude to sometimes unethical expectations of an organization, as well as maintaining a hierarchy of domination of one of the sides. In spite of many irregularities in the relations firm-consumer, one has to notice a positive fact of increasing in the last years the awareness of benefits for both sides coming from the ethics of a dialogue, conversation and negotiation.
