Summary/Abstract: The article deals with issues related to two amendments to the Code of Criminal Procedure based on acts aimed at counteracting the effects of the coronavirus epidemic. As part of these amendments, several important changes were made to the code, which should be given more attention. This is especially true of remote arrest and the main trial. Many doubts were raised about these changes, but not all of them can be divided as justified. The article aims to discuss the introduced changes and their consequences on the shape of the criminal trial. As a consequence of these considerations, it should be said that the introduced changes, as a rule, deserve approval and are aimed at improving the criminal process, but the legislator did not avoid making mistakes, especially as regards the redundancy of some of the introduced institutions.
