Summary/Abstract: Here is the corrected text:"This study constitutes a part of genological research into genre descriptions, encompassing pragmatic and semantic categories, as well as the assumptions of stylistics, discourse, and axiology. Consequently, the dynamics of genre development are analyzed in terms of historical processes, technological changes, and sociocultural determinants. The purpose of the study is to compare commissive genres rooted in the communication spaces of Russian and Polish culture. The first chapter of the monograph is dedicated to key notions of linguistic genology. It includes a detailed description of M. Bakhtin’s concept of speech genres, compares speech acts and genres, and discusses the specificity of utterance forms from the perspective of communicative grammar. This part of the monograph also provides genre typologies and explores various aspects, including intentional, rhetorical, and functional ones, among others. The diversification of genre parameters is also interpreted from a cultural perspective. The second chapter presents the etymology of genre names, with particular attention given to performative verbs. These verbs determine the properties of specific commissive speech acts and genres, as opposed to assertives and declarations. Another issue discussed in this chapter is the specificity of periphrastic forms in terms of their connotative potential. The author also analyzes non-verbal communication acts accompanying commissive speech genres. The third chapter focuses on the systemic nature of the discussed genres and the criteria that constitute their framework. A significant role is attributed here to genre primariness and secondariness, oral and written utterances, transmitter-recipient relationships, and dependencies between illocutionary components. An emotional component is also considered. In the following part of the monograph, the author concentrates on the role of values in describing commissive genres. Based on selected types of texts, it becomes possible to distinguish the types of values that operate at the representational and interactive levels. Additionally, the ways of updating commissive intentions in various types of genres are discussed. The perspective on speech genres presented in this book allows for the rejection of traditional research methods employed in their investigation. Consequently, it becomes possible to place the genre in a situational context and treat it as a category that unifies utterance structural elements with its subject and its system of values. Adopting this research direction allows for the definition of a dynamic model of various forms of communication, including commissive ones."
