Summary/Abstract: In his monograph A Spiritual Biography and Christian Anthropology of the Metropolitan Bishop Anthony Bloom (1914–2003) the author presents the figure of the first head of Russian Orthodoxy in Great Britain.The book is not only a description of the life and views of the Metropolitan Anthony, but also an extremely interesting reflection on the fate of contemporary Orthodoxy and its confrontation with the modern times and the Western culture.This is a very interesting work that goes beyond the biography of the Orthodox hierarch, showing the historical background of the described events and discovering a new interpretative perspective of his thoughts.
