Summary/Abstract: Today's contemporaty society is characterized by extremely decreased physical activity and and increasing number of people whose lifestyle can be labeled as „sedentary“, including the school youth and student population. They spend 4-5 hours a day sitting in school benches, 1-3 hours in front of the TV, 1-2 hours on the computer and a couple of hours more for other „sedentary“ activities. Physical activity decreases the danger of obesity, 163improper body posture and the occurance of physical deformities, such as: spine deformity, chest deformity, legs deformity and feet deformity.The goal of this paper is to highlight the importance of applying everyday physical activity. Future teachers of classroom teaching, educators and rehabilitators need to know the importance of applying daily physical activity so that they can transfer it to the student themselves and prevent the negative effects of today’s sedentary lifestyle. There are five important reasons that should be practiced on a daily basis. Any physical activity actively or recursively burns calories, forms muscles, gives energy, protects the joints, and through physical activity it is easy to learn how much the body needs these activities. What is most important is reducing excess weight and positively affecting the mood, relieving depression and raising self-confidence, speeding up metabolism and helping people feel important and accepted in society. Physical activity initially should take 60 minutes, with a frequency of 2 times a week. As soon as there is a sense of comfort and easy overcoming of this task, and in order to increase endurance, it is necessary to increase the frequency to 3 to 4 times a week. After that, it is necessary to maintain its fitness by daily physical activity of at least 60 minutes a day.From all of the above, we can conclude that physical activity, regardless of age and gender, plays an important role. It is necessary to create a habit of exercising at the earliest age in order to later grow into a lifestyle, and thus also affect the quality of life.
