Summary/Abstract: The adoption of the European Pillar of Social Rights in 2017 was an important step for the European Union to achieve an inclusive, fair and social Europe. The twenty principles included in it are the basis for the development of the social policy of the union and the member states. In this regard, the European Pillar of Social Rights Action Plan was adopted in 2021. It sets three main goals to be achieved by 2030 – increasing employment, increasing the number of adults participating in education each year and reducing the number of people at risk of poverty and social exclusion. Achieving these goals and at the national level will enable a faster overcoming of the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic, which have a serious impact on the labor market, the economy and social systems.
