Summary/Abstract: From basic to advanced, the doctrinal evolution, in conjunction with that of technology, paints a modern image for today's battlefield and the operational environment, both frequently transformable and continuously adaptable. The vertical axis component offers a different view of the battlespace, developing principles of combat that can be a game changer. Helicopters used in all types of military operations add value to army or naval forces in a binomial use.
