Summary/Abstract: More and more authors of foreign origin live and work in Germany. They parents often do not speak German or speak the language only to a degree that allows communication. Despite this, these authors achieve literary successes not only in Germany, but also in the world. This phenomenon seems interesting in itself, and even more interesting are the narratives using the topic of language acquisition by immigrants. This article aims to present a few examples of similar works and consider the question of whether they can be classified as German literature, which seems to be a problem for the language users themselves.
