Summary/Abstract: In the context of the discussions on the specifics of higher education, this publication focuses on the development of the education in international economic relations as a complex interdisciplinary process. This study is based on two key questions. The first draws the attention to the content of the education. The second is devoted to the lecturers and explores significant aspects, related to the academic promotion of employees. The results of the study provide a summary of the characteristics and serve as a foundation for deliberations. The results may be of interest to representatives of the academic community, who participate in analyses and write projects to clarify the role and specifics of education in given topics.
