Summary/Abstract: Megalithic monuments in the world are created in the period V-I mill. BC (in Bulgaria II-I mill. BC). Their original names as well as their functions are unknown today, but the modern times folklore gives them various names trying to explain in a naive manner the fact of their building as well as their purpose. Names of megalithic sites from Bulgaria and other regions in the world are collected and commented here.
