Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the assumptions of the systems and forms of employment of people with disabilities in today's labour market, including changes in the approach to employment from segregating one (protected labour market) to integrating one (open market operation). They have been analyzed taking all their strengths and weaknesses into consideration. These changes are shown on the basis of statistical data on the employment of people with disabilities in Poland.
