Summary/Abstract: The competence approach in modern Russian education, its main pedagogical task, means the creation of conditions that initiate children's action. Pedagogical support (in pedagogy is understood a special type of interaction with the aim of creating favorable conditions for the development of subjects of interaction) should be oriented towards creating conditions for full-fledged professional self-determination of high school students. The article describes the experience of the experimental gymnasium of Tomsk (Western Siberia, Russia), contributing to the conscious choice of high school students of the educational trajectory.
