Summary/Abstract: This work aims to explore and refl ect on the curriculom within the programsof business administration academics offered by higher education institutions in thecentral and northern region of the Cauca Valley, with the purpose of revealing the level ofcommitment and responding to the needs of the territory and the real bets that approachan excellent environmental formation and the sustainable development of the region.Because of this, some higher education institutions recognized in the region that offerthis program were selected, later an inventory of occupational and professional profi leswas made, as well as reviewing of study plans and subjects that promote regional ownershipfor sustainability in the environmental, economic and social aspects. This allowsto dear identifi cation if the curriculum tends towards the sustainability of the northernCauca Valley region.
