Summary/Abstract: Languages for specific purposes have become a popular research topic. The aim of this paper is to systematise and categorise the main directions of research on LSP at the Institute of Applied Linguistics at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. The paper focuses on two main fields of LSP research: translation and teaching. The article discusses not only the topics which are of interest to research staff but also the perspectives of the development of the field.
