Summary/Abstract: The Slavic loanwords in the European Spanish slang can be divided into two groups: in the first one we can find the frequent Slavisms (esclavo, pistola, vampiro) that, apart from the primary meaning, created another one, that is used in slang or that served as the basis for generating new words by means of derivation or as part of Spanish slang idioms. The second group, in turn, contains words and expressions that were introduced into the Spanish slang via the caló language spoken by Spanish Romani.
