Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to present the problems which the researchers of press discourse may face. On the basis of her own experience, the author indicates the difficulties connected with such research, and the epistemological and methodological pitfalls. These problems are caused by the fact that discourse analysis is a method which continues to be a challenge as far as its reconciliation with the principle of impartiality and objectivity postulated in reference to research is concerned.
