Summary/Abstract: The Horn of Africa is a region of Somalia, Djibouti, Ethiopia, and Eritrea but it covers an area of 5.2 million square kilometers in terms of political and economic impact, reaching also to Sudan, South Sudan, Kenya, and Uganda. The biggest explanation is that the Horn of Africa is situated in the most strategic location in the East African region. At the same time, the region situated in the southwest of the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden is acting as a corridor for global maritime transport.
